Special Rules for Greece, Ireland, France (specifically Corsica) Cyprus, UK and Sweden:

Note: Sweden and Ireland do not accept industry-issued certificates. A Phytosanitary Certificate is required for regulated wood products to these countries.

NOTE – All forest products entering the EU effective March 3, 2013 must meet the declaration requirements of the EU Timber Regulations related to the legality of harvest. For more nformation, go to:

Greece

Lumber – Coniferous

  • Phytosanitary certificate
  • Wood must be Heat Treated to a minimum core temperature of 56C for a minimum of 30 minutes. Wood or packaging must be marked “HT” and
  • Bark free or
  • Kiln-Dried to a moisture content of < 20%. A “KD” mark must be on the wood or packaging or
  • Declared free from:
    • DENDROCTONUS MICANS KUGELAN
    • IPS DUPLICATUS SAHLBERG
    • IPS AMINTINUS EICHHOFF
    • IPS CEMBRAE HEER

  • Contact CFIA if information is required regarding export of wood products to Sweden.

Ireland

Cyprus

Conifer lumber

United Kingdom

Conifer lumber -including Cedar (Thuja spp.)

  • Phytosanitary Certificate
  • Wood must be Heat Treated to a minimum core temperature of 56C for a minimum of 30 minutes. Wood or lumber wrap (packaging) must be marked “HT” and
  • Wood to be free from bark, or
  • KD  to a moisture content of < 20%. A “KD” mark must be on the wood or lumber wrap (packaging), or
  • Declared to originate from an area known to be free from:
    • DENDROCTONUS MICANS (NORTHERN IRELAND, ISLE OF MAN AND JERSEY ONLY)
    • IPS DUPLICATUS SAHLBERGH
    • IPS TYPOGRAPHUS HEER
    • IPS AMITINUS EICHHOFF
    • IPS CEMBRAE HEER (NORTHERN IRELAND AND ISLE OF MAN ONLY)
    • IPS SEXDENTATUS BÖRNER (NORTHERN IRELAND AND ISLE OF MAN ONLY)
  • Note – Green Cedar can enter the UK with a Cedar Debark Grub Hole Certificate in lieu of a Phyto.
