Shakes/Shingles

  • “Normally” the UAE does NOT require a Phytosanitary Certificate for “low-risk” products – but we are unable to determine IF shakes and shingles are seen as “low risk”.
  • It is strongly suggested that the exporter request his buyer in the UAE to approach the Plant Health Authorities for clarification.
  • IF the buyer is unable to secure clarification, the exporter has the option of approaching CFIA, explaining the due diligence that had been completed, and requesting their support in providing an inspection and a Phytosanitary Certificate. ( small price to pay).
